Lay It Down [B-more Mixes] Who’s is better ?

They were matched up previously with their Bottom’s Up Bmore tracks, now it’s to Lloyd’s new song “Lay It Down.” It really is hard to decide who’s is better. They both just have their own separate producing styles so each version is better than the other in their own way. We would have to call this a tie but, how ’bout the listeners decide?

Brick City club is an offshoot of Baltimore club music from Newark, New Jersey which was pioneered and popularized by D.J.Tamiel, and Tim Dolla, in the early/mid 1990s following Baltimore's track. The basic musical structure is similar to Baltimore's, but it differs in the use of more simplfied beats and mixing technics, giving it almost a "mainstream pop" appeal rather than the raunchy traditional club beat. Though presently it is not a frequently popular venue as it's counterpart, Brick City Club is still a popular amongst its New Jersey and some Baltimore patriots. And with additional collaberations by Baltimore's D.J.Technics, Rod Lee, and Bamabounce's D.J. Taj, it has more of an opportunity, as did Baltimore's scene, to expland beyond its Newark borders

  2. @pppeeeppee Im just tellin it like it is fam. When something is hot its hot when something is whack its whack plain and simple it really has nothin to do wth hate fame Im just tellin it like it is

  3. pppeeeppee has it right! This is not club music this is garbage. Jersey and Philly dont know nuttin about club music. Swizzchicka ur wrong because these guys are saturating the market with bs. The site needs to screen music more because half the time its really bad and these kids take some BMORE producers loops and paste them in the songs. sad.

  4. and PLEASE label it jersey club or philly club because it sure aint no bmore club. maybe call it jersey electro echo music or somethin

  5. @djjealousie
you’re wrong , have you ever heard of Dj Tameil or Dj Tim Dolla , or the Brick Bandits ? they’re all from Jersey. In my opinion, Brick City Club is actually better than Bmore. You probably don’t like Brick City Club because it’s not as simple and basic as Bmore. Brick City Club is an actually derivation from Bmore and has a very heavy fanbase. I don’t hear anyone else complaing about Jersey Club Music besides you. & this could definetely NOT be labeled Jersey Electro . are u serious ?! Do u even know what electro/techno music is ?!?!

  6. Also, Bart, don’t suscept yourself to one opinion. Not saying you shouldn’t respect other(s) opinions, but you have been doing a great job with this blog site. And this Dj K-Millz I’ve seen has gotten a lot of downloads for songs you’ve posted. I think if Brick City Club was really as unliked as djjealousie
, it would never make it to 1000 downloads. Yet, i’ve seen Jersey tracks on this blog make it past that !

  7. don’t take this personally but Baltimore shuddup cuss jersey doing they thing as much as bmore trying 2 do there’s oh by DA way jay-hood better but k.millz iight doee nd if u reply wit cursin or anything u childish

  8. @JamesClubSTR

Sure. Tamiel and Dolla are the ONLY respected jersey producers….and do your research and find out where they have been and who they were with when they started…BALTMORE. I think you are upset because you feel and hear the truth. If there was more variety on this blog there wouldnt be as many downloads for these “so called” producers. Just remember its NOT baltimore club. Thats my point. Call it something else like jersey juke or something. It doesnt get play in bmore or many other places in the country/world because its a bunch of stutters and loops pasted into songs. Sorry if you got upset but you should know Tamiel and Tim Dolla dont approve of these corny ass tracks. They get clowned and rightfully so.

  9. @djjealousie A) I NEVER said it was Baltimore Club, only a derivation from it.
    B) If Tameil and Dolla are the ONLY respected jersey producers , that means jersey DOES know something about club. That means you were wrong for making that statement in the first place.
    C) I hope you’re not serious about this blog’s variety because Bart has been doing a great job of making this blog with a lot of variety.
    D) It does get play in other parts of the country, I’ve heard it played at a party in Allentown, PA. (Dj K. Millz/Jayhood/& probably like two other BBC members.
E)”Stutters and loops” Isn’t that what baltimore club is anyway?!?! I ‘ve never really heard too many Bmore tracks that don’t consist of stutters and/or loops.
    F) If Tameil and Tim Dolla don’t approve of these “corny ass tracks,” he must not approve of his own team ; Brick Bandits because Dj Jayhood is a member of that and that would be hipocritical. I also know Tameil & i’m pretty sure he approves of Jayhood’s tracks. If he was making “corny music” he would of been convinced Mike (CEO Of Brick Bandits) to take him off the team.

  10. @JamesClubSTR

one person on a team doesn’t affect a persons entire outlook on their group (in this case brick bandits)…it just puts money in their pocket lol. Quality over quanity is what these young guys are forgetting. The whole scene is silly.

And cmon…how long has Tamiel NOT been relevant. that guy sells full harddrives with music from all the classic producers and new comers w\o even gettin approval from the people who make the music. thats some weak shit there and desperate and a lawsuit waitin to happen.

Again this goes back to the business side to make money. if you are in jersey sure it seems poppin bec its your home and philly. anywhere else outside of state no sir. And a spin in Allentown PA is not what i meant about around the country lol.

I was never dissin the blog in the first place just said the screening process for tracks should be tighter and Im sure Im not alone on this one. just the only one opening their mouth.

  11. @djjealousie What the hell? You were just saying Tameil is a respectable producer and now you’re saying he’s irrelevant(“how long has Tamiel NOT been relevant”) and does some “weak shit?” You seem very sidetracked here. Also, if you noticed Jersey barely makes money off club. They have Bmore sites with multiple producers selling their club singles/mixtapes and Jersey doesn’t even have ONE club site to sell their music and you want to infer in someway that Jersey just wants to put money in their pockets?! C’Mon Shun!

+ I never said you were dissing the blog either, that was an empty comment. And where are you going with this whole “quality over quanity” theme? And who is it too ? Dj K. Millz & most jersey producers make NO money off club production, only deejaying. Although Bmore has all these artists selling different songs in a large QUANTITY, how can you talk about jersey’s QUALITY?!

Maybe you need to look in2 Jersey a little more before making these “Bmore” justified opinions . .

  12. @JamesClubSTR Also, don’t tell me to remember it’s NOT Baltimore Club because I NEVER SAID IT WAS! It obviously isn’t so that was also just another empty comment. This site is called baltimore-club; doesn’t mean everything on here is from baltimore . . . #GetItTogetherShun!

  13. @djjealousie

First of all… me being irrelevant shows how slow and ignorant you are to what is actually going on. Bmore stands behind me because me, Sega, Class and a few others are the only ones touring overseas and abroad to represent Baltimore Club Music as a whole! No matter where the music was produced, its not just a style… its a culture… its Baltimore Club Music. Some of it is just not labeled as being associated with being Baltimore Club Music because certain producers never received blessings from the original producers to do so. I was the only one from Jersey who received those blessings and built the bridge from here to bmore on my own. Those blessings were then passed down through me to Brick Bandits and only Brick Bandits and that is why u only see a respect from Baltimore for Brick Bandits ONLY! As far as play in Baltimore… MAYBE YOU NEED TO CHECK 92Q MORE OFTEN! KW GRIFF, PORKCHOP & others do play the tracks they see fit for bmore radio and have been playing them for years. YOU NEED TO GET YOUR INFO STRAIGHT!
AS far as my harddrives… YOU DONT KNOW WHAT THE FUCK I HAVE PERMISSION FOR as well as you dont know exactly what tracks are & are not in them! I KNOW ALL OF THE ORIGINAL PRODUCERS as well as ROD BRAXTON now lives here in Jersey not far from me & we’re gonna be working on projects also. Dont speak about shit that you dont know about! IF YOU NEED TO KNOW SOMETHING FROM NOW ON… ASK ME!

  14. @djjealousie

Also… by the looks of your name, YOU SEEM LIKE A REALLY JEALOUS MUTHAFUCKA! If you did so much research and knew so much… you’d actually know that your comment about TIM DOLLA being with Baltimore at first was untrue… Tim Dolla & Brick Bandits came out around 2002. I had the only dealings with Baltimore Producers & also the legendary collector Bernie of Music Liberated (R.I.P)… also you would know that I put out releases on not one… but 2 different official BALTIMORE record labels which were Quiet Records owned by Dj Patrick which is also Kw Griff’s home.. and Unruly Records which is the grandfather label of the whole Bmore Club movement which I was signed to. Who are u supposed to be and who do you get your info from?… Because I can Easily get Scottie B or anybody else on here to air it out and shut your falsified facts the fuck down even further than I already did.

  15. AGAIN… I THINK YOU NEED TO PAY MORE ATTENTION! DJ TAMEIL, DJ SEGA (Philly), GHETTO DIVISION (Chicago) & CLASS ARE THE ONES TRAVELING TO EUROPE, CANADA, UNITED KINGDOM, AUSTRALIA, JAPAN, ETC. TO PERFORM AND SPREADING THE BMORE SOUND THE WAY IT SHOULD BE AND NOT PLAYING JUST OUR SHIT BUT ALSO THE CLASSIC BMORE SHIT THAT THEY SHOULD KNOW ABOUT AS WELL AS NEW “BALTIMORE PRODUCED” TRACKS WHEN WE ARE OUT. YOU NEED TO LOOK UP MORE INFO BEFORE PUTTING YOUR FOOT IN YOUR OWN MOUTH ANYMORE. WE DONT DO THIS SHIT JUST FOR THE SAKE OF US… WE DO IT FOR CLUB MUSIC, PERIOD! YOU SHOULD CHANGE YOUR NAME TO “DJ HATER”.

  16. Tameil, you just spoke the truth, I don’t know how I got here but, you just spoke the truth!!!!!

  17. This is all silly! Jersey, Philly, Bmore all doin their thing! Tamiel, Tim Dolla, and countless others are still makin hits! I play tracks from jersey and philly in my sets and if it’s hot music then who the hell cares? Everbody has their own style and ear for music and how they want their tracks to sound. Plenty of money for everybody!!!

  18. YOO UNKNOWN, YU DUM, MILLZ VERSION WAS DEFINETELY BETTER. AND IF NOT JAYHOOD, IT’S A TIE. JAYHOOD DEFINETELY AIN’T BEAT HIM BY ALOT!
