Radicool! – 20 Minute Massacre

June 27th, 2010

My lack of posting lately is due to some major school work, traveling and family bizness. However, I just finished a new mix. So it’s time for some shameless self-promotion!

There’s all kinds of club music out there; from Bmore, Jersey, Philly and Chicago to the rest of the world. There’s grimy original productions, bouncy remixes of mainstream hits, housey synth-based jams and so on.

For this mix I selected some of the craziest, most energetic club music tracks I could find. Featuring exclusives from the Brick Bandits crew, producers from the original Bodymore-Murderland and a few choices from Europe. This shit is heavy….you might inadvertently punch someone while listening.

BOOOOOOOM!

Chicago Swings Dat Shyt

May 4th, 2010

Ya’ll need to get on Charlie Glitch’s Soundcloud. The Ghetto Division / Brick Bandits member has been posting up some burners lately, all for free! What a nice guy. His remix of Ludacris’ “How Low” is hella dope.

Recently he threw up a remix of Tim Dolla’s “Swing Dat Shyt”. In case you’ve been living in a hole, check out the dance that’s been taking over Jersey for a minute now.

Grab the remix here.

Who Can? The Candyman Can!

May 4th, 2010

I don’t really know what to think about the name “Bukkake Boys Gang“, but I love this track. I’ve always been a fan of the 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and that’s where the vocals come from….kind of. The ‘Candyman’ song wasn’t cut from the famous Sammy Davis Jr. version, but the one performed by the cadet choir on Malcolm in the Middle.

The track is reminiscent of classic Johnny Blaze production; using cheesy vocals for a bouncy club track. It’s a little short and the drums are simply, but the vocal carries the load and there’s a real nice touch in the form of a funky guitar loop set in the background.

I also enjoy the connection between Willy Wonka and the fact that the producers are Swiss. Drop this jam in the club and make it rain Toblerones!

Maybe the B.B.G. could put together another version of this using the original film version of the song.

The good folks over at Bass Music Blog posted this mix a short while ago (click the link to their site for a tracklist). We’ve had a remix up in the recent past from Thunderbird Juicebox, but this mix contains a ton of remixes and original tracks made by the man. He’s got a new EP droppin’ soon so look out for that.

I wish I thought of “Mercolator” before him…..damn.
